Kensington Compost Network provides places for residents to compost organic food & garden scraps to support our local gardening and food growing. 78 Clifford Terrace Compost is open 24/7, behind the 78 Clifford Terrace building, or accessible access from the Gower Street walkway.

Please:

1) add your compostables scraps where it says "COMPOST HERE" (left hand side)

2) cover with sawdust from the yellow bins

3) make sure the compost bay lid is closed when you leave

What’s accepted

1. Fruit and veggies (chopped)
2. Tea leaves or paper tea bags
3. Dried plants or leaves
4. Eggshells (crushed)
5. Plain paper and cardboard (ripped up)
6. Coffee crounds
7. Dried flowers and houseplants
8. Weeds and grass clippings

What’s not

1. Meat, fish, or dairy products
2. Cooking oils or fats
3. Compostable or biodegradable plastics
4. Dog or cat poo
5. Glossy or coloured paper
6. Treated or sealed timber
7. Foil or container lids
