McDonald Park Hub

About

1000 E Mountain St, Pasadena.

Hub is located on the west side of McDonald Park, along N Wilson Ave. Near the restrooms.

Step 1: Make sure your items can be composted.

Step 2: Weight and record your scraps using scale and binder provided.

Step 3: Add your greens to the bin labeled "OPEN".

Step 4: COVER your greens with a layer of brown material found in the brown bin.

What’s accepted

1. Fruit and vegetable scraps
2. Coffee grounds and tea bags (no nylon bags)
3. Egg shells (shell only)
4. Green leaves
5. Grass trimmings
6. Old flowers
7. Mulch/wood chips
8. Dead leaves (brown leaf)
9. Sawdust (from untreated wood)
10. Twigs (break into 2–3" pieces)
11. Newspaper and shredded paper
12. Unbleached paper towels and napkins

What’s not

1. Plastic
2. Compostable plastics
3. Cat litter
4. Dog poop
5. Meat
6. Dairy (including cheese)
