About
Currently we have open 3 in ground bins ( rotating and aero bins closed) located next to the shed . Please put chopped up food scraps into bins and ADD brown matter next to bins such as grass clippings or dry leaves or shredded newspaper on top . This keeps the balance right and aids quick breakdown ( keeps the rats at bay) No meat, dairy or bread due to rats and limit onions and citrus .
Keep lid on tight after you finish . Thanks heaps ! Open anytime but we meet Wednesday and Saturday mornings so welcome to join in .
What’s accepted
- Fruit and vegetables chopped , shredded paper, cardboard , feathers, hair, 100% cotton undies or old T-shirts cut up , brown leaves, egg cartons cut up , grass clippings , coffee grounds ( no mould please) , tea bags.
What’s not
- Meat, dairy , bread or grains .
