The community demonstration garden in front of the Thornleigh Community Recycling Centre, run by Hornsby Shire Council's Waste team, can accept food scraps for composting.

The garden includes multiple compost bins and a worm farm. Compost bins that can accept food waste are labelled on the lid.

To drop off food scraps or contact the team, please first call the Waste Hotline at 13 70 30.

The demonstration garden serves as a place to host workshops on composting, worm farming, garden recycling and growing food in small places.
