Historic garden on the site of the former prison on Mount Crawford
What’s accepted
- We accept fruits & veggies - but remove those plastic stickers
- We also accept grass clippings
- Our main compost area is in the central Puriri Tree Garden. Add your items to the 'Feed Me' area, and cover with some wood chips from the heap in the next area.
- Our volunteers will then turn the compost, first into the 'Curing' area, and finally into the 'Black Gold' zone.
